Since 1940, Alberta has seen quite the makeover, but our ranch is like a timeless classic—still charming as ever since we first swung open the gates. Through rain and shine, grasshopper invasions, and bumper crop celebrations, we’ve always poured our hearts (and maybe a few dance moves) into the land to bring you something truly extraordinary.

We’re on a mission to foster a community that champions healthy choices and vibrant living, and that starts with another busy year with  our prized Wagyu cattle on the open prairie.

From start to finish, he’s a taste of what we do to bring you a whole lot of quality and flavour.

Protecting a Family Lineage 

Think of Wagyu lineages as our bovine family trees, guaranteeing top-notch quality for some truly exceptional calves. Keeping this lineage strong is a big deal for us. Every year, we play matchmaker, looking for a mix of strong, healthy genetics and gentle personalities to create the next generation of superstar cattle.

Of course, with great breeding comes great responsibility—hello, paperwork! To keep our “family tree” fully updated, we meticulously tag and document each new calf as it’s born. Once that’s all sorted, we let the new families bond and enjoy their own little family reunions. It’s a lot of work, but hey, someone’s got to keep the family album up to date!

Life on the Pasture

Wagyu cattle grow at an impressive rate. Just by drinking milk and chewing hay, they pack on 1.75-2.75 pounds a day! We prefer letting our cattle enjoy open, organic fields rather than resorting to unnatural supplements.

Eventually, our calves switch to a full-time grass diet. They spend their days foraging and chewing, creating a peaceful scene you might catch while driving along rural Alberta highways. It’s pretty amusing how our protein bars fuel hikers and cyclists, while our cattle just lounge around like they’re on an endless vacation!
